mimoLive 4.1: PTZ via NDI®, HTML based broadcast graphics

Germering, June 5th, 2018 – Version 4.1 of the Apple Design Award winning live video production application mimoLive – The Multi-In, Multi-Out Live Video Engine for the Mac is now available. The new version allows users to control PTZ Cameras via NewTek’s NDI® protocol and adds a Web Browser source that enables utilizing HTML5/CSS/JavaScript based broadcast graphics. InfoComm attendees can get their hands on mimoLive 4.1 at the PTZOptics booth (N664).

“The trend for software technologies in broadcasting continues. After NDI®, we’re enabling users to utilize HTML5/CSS/JavaScript based broadcast graphics like the singular.live platform or the various overlay services for gamers,” says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software. “This reinforces our commitment to creating the most versatile live stream production application.”

PTZ via NDI®

In addition to the NewTek NDI|HX camera, a growing number of PTZ camera suppliers, including PTZOptics and Panasonic, now offer NDI® enabled cameras. The pan, tilt and zoom of those cameras can now be controlled directly from the mimoLive Multiviews via NDI®. Users can also set and recall preset positions, which allows them to create multiple virtual camera angles and switch easily between them. Combined with another cool mimoLive feature you can set up a camera that can be controlled by your viewers via Twitter or Facebook which is a great way to engage your audience.

HTML5 Broadcast Graphics

The new Web Browser source supports transparent HTML5/CSS/JavaScript pages that can display overlay broadcast graphics. New platforms such as singular.live provide easy to use components ranging from simple lower thirds to complex sports scoring. With mimoLive you can not only use them in your live streams, but also play them out via SDI or NDI® to your existing broadcast production workflows.

Other Web Content

The Web Browser source can also be used to include other Web content in your video. For example you can capture a discussion in your chat room, discuss cryptostock charts or feature photos from various platforms in your production.
